Join a powerful, unprecedented alliance for better eye health for all.
Join IAPBEarlier this year, we sent a survey to all individuals of membership organisations to understand what IAPB activities, content, and agenda, individuals find of value, and also understand if there are any areas that they think could be improved. Overall, members were more than satisfied with IAPB’s value offer, and would be likely to recommend IAPB to others.
The most valuable activities for members over the past 12 months have been the new Vision Atlas as a tool for advocacy and learning; sharing timely and informative news and information via our newsletters; webinars and online events (including our COVID web series and the UN Friends of Vision Webinar. Our ability to provide a strong collective voice that enables representation on a scale not possible to achieve alone, and create a sense of belonging is still very important to members. As is our ability to create a global eye health advocacy at bodies such as the UN and WHO and provide advocacy tools and messages to members to help influence governments’ eye health policies and resourcing decisions.
In terms of improving our offer, the themes that were most prevalent throughout the survey are the need to increase country level activities and create more opportunities for more of our members to be involved and engaged.
Thank you to everyone who participated in the survey. Over the coming months, we will undertake further analysis into these results and look at ways of implementing some of these ideas into our membership plan going forwards. We will keep you updated in due course.
