Embracing Gender Equity in the fight against Neglected Tropical Diseases

Over 1,6 billion people are affected by Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs) which often cause disabilities, stigma and exclusion. Women and young girls are often more vulnerable to NTDs and bear the most burden from NTD-related illnesses and the socio-economic consequences of NTDs.

Together with key thinkers, policy makers, researchers and practitioners we seek to explore how we can achieve more gender equity in the fight against NTDs at all levels.

Our speakers will discuss the progress we’ve made in improving gender equity in NTDs, and what more needs to be done to reach women and girls.
