The Foundation is taking World Sight Day to the workplace in the Philippines, by setting up a vision screening station for garment workers in central Manila.
In the Middle East, The Foundation will launch an awareness campaign about its world-first research on the economic return generated by through investments in eye health.
“Transforming Lives: An Investment Case for Eye Health” provides the evidence to support what we already know – that investing in eye health makes good economic sense.
The research shows that every $US1 invested in treating cataract delivers an economic return of $20.50.
Other activities promoted by The Foundation include a major #LoveYourEyes awareness campaign in Hong Kong and eye screenings in a number of countries.
