Africa-Work-Plan
1/1

The IAPB Africa Workplan for the period 2019-2022 serves to strengthen eye health in the sub-Saharan Africa Region. It aims to promote and embed the findings and recommendations of the World Health Organization – World Report on Vision (WRV) with member states, NGO’s and other key actors.

Our plan, developed by members and stakeholders from across Africa, aims to strengthen systems, knowledge and networks in vision and eye health. This starts with policy change at all levels, creating an enabling environment for access to eye health services.

In 2021, we continue to pursue our goal of making eye health part of every country’s journey towards the Sustainable Development Goals and Universal Health Coverage.  To maximise our impact, and that of our members, we are focussing on two impact streams:

  • Regional and country level advocacy and
  • Strengthening systems, knowledge and networks.

Our work directly connects, supports and accelerates the lasting impact of our member’s work delivering services and programs on the ground.  If you are interested in engaging with IAPB on the Africa Workplan kindly reach out to Simon Day, IAPB Africa Programme Coordinator, or Nick Parker, Head of Commercial Development.  Access the IAPB Africa Workplan 2021 here.
