As 2024 draws to a close, it’s time to reflect on a year of incredible progress and look ahead to the exciting challenges and opportunities that await us in 2025. Over the coming few weeks, we’ll be sharing highlights from IAPB’s work in 2024, showcasing the incredible impact we’ve made together.

This past year has been a whirlwind! With a record number of elections taking place across the globe, IAPB, together with our members, seized the moment to continue advocating for eye health on the political agenda at global, regional, and local levels. From engaging with politicians and decision-makers to mobilising our members to advocate for change, we’ve worked tirelessly to ensure that eye care is a priority for governments worldwide. And the results have been truly inspiring! We’ve seen increased commitments to eye health, new policies being implemented, and a growing recognition of the importance of accessible and affordable eye care for all. All of this wouldn’t have been possible without the hard work of our members around the world, working every single day to ensure that eye health is delivered to as many people as possible.

But we’re not stopping there. 2025 is a critical year for us. It’s halfway to our 2030 IN SIGHT landmark and a key year to build momentum towards the Global Summit for Eye Health in 2026. This landmark event will bring together world leaders, policymakers, and key stakeholders to chart a course for a future where everyone can see.

The Global Summit for Eye Health will be much more than just a conference; it’s a catalyst for change, a two-year campaign. It’s an opportunity to transform the lives of millions by ensuring that everyone, everywhere has access to quality eye care. And with your support, we can make this vision a reality.

So, what can you expect from IAPB in 2025?
