IAPB Valued Supplier Scheme (VSS) continues to remain instrumental in enabling members to procure high quality products through its approved suppliers at affordable cost. This has helped the members to not only save costs and time but also to do a greater number of surgeries / refractions.
VSS performs an effective job of addressing the challenge of members working in low-and- middle-income countries, accessibility to high-quality products and services. Supporting the suppliers and the members to reach the unreached.
The event in Mexico was very beneficial to the suppliers to understand their needs. We had 10 exhibitors at the event and the response was overwhelmingly positive.
In 2024, we added six new suppliers.
We have also added Education and Training a new category. These are simulation-based training courses.
Besides the Mexico event, VSS was represented at conferences like ESCRS- Barcelona and AIOS- Kolkata. The ESCRS charity network meeting was a great opportunity for VSS to reiterate the benefits of the platform to key NGOs.
In 2025, not only will we be at 2030 IN SIGHT LIVE, Nepal but our focus remains on adding a greater number of Suppliers and to introduce new technology products to the members that helps them to manage their time and resources efficiently.
