Eye of the World Team intends to raise the bar for eye surgical camps in underserved countries and outreach areas by using phaco emulsification as the standard technique for cataract extraction instead of ECCE and SICS.

The team’s mission is to be the skilled hands of NGOs in combating blindness, ensuring high quality, advanced technologies, and safe medical practice regardless of where the camp is implemented and its infrastructure.

With a focus on the sustainability of solutions, Eye of the World team trains local surgeons to ensure self-reliance and localization of the technique, as well as to increase the number of skilled and experienced surgeons on the team.
