Join a powerful, unprecedented alliance for better eye health for all.
Join IAPBOn 29 April, in the heart of Kathmandu, Nepal, the 2030 IN SIGHT LIVE event begins with a day dedicated to member action, collaboration, and impact, the Member Engagement Groups Day. This isn’t just a warm-up; it’s the launchpad for the transformative conversations and strategic alignments that will shape the Global Summit for Eye Health and drive us towards our collective goal of a world where no one faces avoidable sight loss.
Our Member Engagement Groups stand at the forefront of strategic action in a world where collaboration is key to driving large-scale change. From humanitarian response and technology to gender equity and climate action, these member-led groups reflect the diverse expertise and leadership that power the 2030 In Sight strategy.
This day is about more than just discussions. It’s about amplifying shared impact, strengthening member engagement, and catalysing action. By bringing together sector leaders, practitioners, and advocates, we ensure that our actions are aligned, our voices are heard, and our collective efforts are greater than the sum of their parts.
The day kicks off with an energising Welcome Session led by Member Engagement Group Chairs, Imran Khan and Raul Souza, alongside IAPB’s Senior Knowledge Manager, Jissa James. Together, they’ll set the tone for the day, diving into how each group plays a vital role in the bigger picture and, more importantly, how we can turn engagement into real impact.
The day unfolds with nine Member Engagement Groups coming together to drive forward key discussions, alongside meetings with The Coalition for Clear Vision, Peek Vision, Seva Foundation, and VisionSpring, each sparking innovation and action. Attendees can expect dynamic panel discussions, hands-on interactive sessions, and meaningful cross-sector dialogues, all designed to deepen understanding of each group’s priorities and, more importantly, translate engagement into impact.
Beyond the structured sessions, there will be ample opportunities to connect, exchange ideas, and build strong networks, whether through formal discussions or informal conversations that inspire fresh collaborations. By the time we close the day, one thing will be clear: collaboration isn’t just a concept, it’s a necessity. All attendees will leave with strengthened networks, renewed focus, and tangible actions that will directly shape the wider 2030 IN SIGHT LIVE programme across the next two days of the event.
This is where impact for action happens. This is where leadership emerges. This is where strategy turns into reality.
Join us as we take the first step in Kathmandu, because together, we’re not just shaping the conversation; we’re shaping the future of eye health.
