As another year draws to a close, we would like to thank all our suppliers for your continued and valuable support to the IAPB Valued Supplier Scheme (VSS). We wouldn’t be where we are without you, and we are grateful for the opportunity to work together. Our focus has always been in finding a potential supplier who matches the needs of IAPB members, and we are always successful in this process.
Building trusting relationships, providing timely support, and the best services to the members and suppliers are integral to the Valued Supplier Scheme. We have expanded our breadth of services by adding seven new suppliers and freight forwarding and logistics as a new category, which will be beneficial to both our members and suppliers.
Compared to last year, the number of people visiting the VSS website went up by 100%. In the past ten months, the VSS page has gained over 20,000 new users.
Attending the All-India Ophthalmology Conference in Kochi and COECSA in Mombasa, Kenya gave me the opportunity to speak with both potential suppliers and programme participants. Several possible suppliers have expressed interest in working with us and some of them are currently on board.
It was a great opportunity for the exhibitors to meet more than 350 delegates from the eye care service community. The suppliers had an opportunity to showcase their range of new and existing products to the members. Face-to-face meetings between the members and suppliers strengthened their relationship.
The whole year was devoted to deepening our understanding of our members’ needs through improved relationships, which opened the door for new initiatives like the launch of a new category and the addition of suppliers offering some interesting items like Smart Canes and many more.
