Aligned with CBM’s mission to improve the lives of persons with disabilities, the programme invests in local capacity,

The scholarship package includes tuition fees, a stipend, relocation costs, in-patient medical cover, conference attendance, and a set of ophthalmic instruments. Successful candidates must commit to a service term in an eye care facility serving underserved communities in their home country, ensuring that the benefits of their training reach those most in need.

Eligible applicants must be residents of one of the following countries: Benin, Cameroon, DR Congo, Ethiopia, Kenya, Malawi, Niger, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, Tanzania, Togo, Uganda, or Zambia. They must also secure admission to a recognised postgraduate Ophthalmology program and agree to CBM’s core values and safeguarding policies.
