El 29 de Marzo en Asunción Paraguay se llevó a cabo el primer taller de diálogos en políticas públicas, con la participación del Comité Nacional Visual del Paraguay CONAVIP, lideres de fundaciones y profesionales en oftalmología, y el apoyo de la Fundación Visión.
Dentro de los puntos más destacados se presentó el informe preliminar del ECSAT realizado recientemente en Paraguay por Fundación Visión y el cual está en proceso de análisis de los resultados por el CONAVIP, se presentó la estrategia 2030 In Sight de IAPB y se conversó con todos los actores participantes en el taller, acerca de los retos identificados y posibles soluciones para retomar las actividades del CONAVIP, con reunión de seguimiento en Abril y metas a corto y mediano plazo para dar seguimiento al Dialogo en políticas públicas en Marzo del 2023. Se contó con la participación de miembros del ministerio de salud en medicina familiar, se discutió acerca de oportunidades de integrar los servicios de salud con otras instancias como el ministerio de educación y actividades hacia la comunidad para activar la demanda de los servicios e incrementar el conocimiento acerca de los temas de prevención en salud visual.
On March 29 in Asuncion, Paraguay, the first policy dialogue workshop on public policies was held, with the participation of the National Visual Committee of Paraguay, CONAVIP, leaders of foundations and professionals in ophthalmology, and the support of the Foundation Vision.
Among the most outstanding points was the presentation of the preliminary report of the ECSAT recently developed in Paraguay by Fundación Vision and which is under analysis of results by CONAVIP. The IAPB 2030 In Sight strategy was presented and a discussion was held with all the actors participating in the workshop, about the challenges identified and possible solutions to resume CONAVIP activities, with a follow-up meeting to be held in April and short- and medium-term goals to follow up on the Dialogue on public policies in March 2023.
The dialogue also had the participation of members of the ministry of health in family medicine, there was discussion about opportunities to integrate health services with other instances such as the ministry of education and activities towards the community to activate the demand for services and increase knowledge about the visual health prevention issues.
