Próxima reunión presencial de miembros de la Región Latinoamérica en Bogotá

Como muchos de nuestros miembros estarán en Bogotá para el XXXVI Congreso Panamericano de Oftalmología organizado por la Asociación Panamericana de Oftalmología (PAAO), que se llevará a cabo del 29 de mayo al 2 de junio, hemos aprovechado esta ocasión para convocar una reunión presencial de miembros el jueves 28 de mayo de 2025 en el Hotel Holiday Inn Express and Suites, ubicado en la zona de Chapinero, Bogotá, Colombia.

La reunión será de 9 a.m. a 5 p.m., y tiene como objetivo brindarnos la oportunidad de actualizarnos y fortalecer los lazos entre las organizaciones miembros de IAPB en la región.

El Hotel sede ha habilitado tarifas preferenciales para quienes deseen hospedarse allí. (compartimos un código QR para acceder a estas tarifas). Aunque el hotel se encuentra a unos 20 minutos del Ágora Centro de Convenciones (lugar donde se celebrará el Congreso Panamericano), las tarifas especiales hasta el 15 de mayo son muy convenientes, y la zona cercana al hotel es ideal para reuniones, cafés o cenas.

Nos encantaría contar con su presencia en esta reunión del 28 de mayo. El objetivo principal será generar sinergias entre nuestras organizaciones y discutir temas como la próxima Cumbre Mundial de Salud Ocular, así como algunas estrategias para que nuestros países participen activamente en este gran evento.

Next Face-to-Face Meeting of IAPB Members from the Latin America Region in Bogota

As many of our members will be in Bogotá for the XXXVI Pan American Congress of Ophthalmology, organized by the Pan American Association of Ophthalmology (PAAO), which will be from May 29 to June 2, we are taking advantage of this opportunity to hold an in-person members’ meeting on Thursday, May 28, 2025, at the Holiday Inn Express and Suites, located in the Chapinero area of Bogotá, Colombia.

The meeting will run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and its aim is to provide us with the chance to update ourselves and strengthen the connections between IAPB member organizations in the region.

The host hotel has offered special rates for those wishing to stay there. (We are sharing a QR code to access these rates.) While the hotel is about 20 minutes away from the Ágora Convention Center (the venue for the Pan American Congress), the special rates available until May 15 are very convenient, and the area around the hotel is perfect for meetings, coffees, or dinners.

We would be thrilled to have you join us on May 28. The main objective is to generate synergies between our organizations and discuss topics such as the upcoming Global Summit, as well as strategies to ensure active participation from our countries in this major event.
