Care Netram (GoodVision India)

GoodVision India – Care Netram, established in 2017 in partnership with Good Vision, Germany, is dedicated to addressing the national issue of untreated refractive errors and providing affordable eye care to marginalized communities in Jharkhand, Odisha, and West Bengal. We operate through mobile teams across the region and vision centers.

The primary reasons for India’s reputation as the blind capital of the world are a lack of awareness and a shortage of primary eye care providers, leading to high costs and poor access to eye care services, particularly in rural areas.

We reach the most remote corners, offering eye care for rural residents through our Vision Technician program. We conduct door-to-door vision care awareness campaigns, provide free eye tests, and sell low-cost spectacles through community outreaches and vision centers. Additionally, we refer cataract patients to nearby partner hospitals for free surgeries.
