Ophthalmology Foundation

The Ophthalmology Foundation works with eye care professionals, societies and organisations to enhance and provide ophthalmic education, with special focus on low-resource and underserved countries. We commit to strengthening ophthalmic education, with the ultimate goal of improving eyecare and advancing the preservation and restoration of vision for all.

The organisation serves as a resource to ophthalmic educators of all cadres in eye care and supports fellowship training of ophthalmologists from low-resource and underserved locations. By strengthening ophthalmic education, ophthalmologists and other eye care professionals are better prepared to provide the highest quality eye care, improve their local systems and practices, and ultimately increases access to care through better practices and increased capacity.
