Council for the Blind Zimbabwe strives for a Zimbabwe free of avoidable blindness. We aim to restore, enhance and maintain sight where possible and improve the quality of lives for those whose sight cannot be restored. Our objectives are to provide comprehensive eye care services, enhance education of the blind- through provision of braille, rehabilitate the blind-low vision services provision, provide quality, affordable spectacles and devices. In the process, creating an enabling and safe environment for children and vulnerable adults. We have been in operation since 1955 with our major activity being cataract surgeries at base hospital and outreaches
