Join IAPB“Dr Geeta Fulari is a competent, result oriented professional who single handedly initiated implementing Quality assurance and Patient safety norms in every unit of Sankara Eye Care Institutions.” She is a trained professional in CPHQ (Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality), Certified NABH internal auditor, Certified ISO 9001:2008 internal auditor, Certified Six Sigma – Green Belt professional, Certified with CPQIH (Certified Professional for Quality implementation in Hospitals) and CPHIC (Certified Professional for Hospital Infection Control). In a time bound manner she has been instrumental in ensuring quality eye care across all 11 units of SEFI since 8 years. She took determined efforts to formulate and implement almost 140 policies and various protocols within the organization.
With her dedication and commitment in ensuring World Class Quality Eye Care she achieved NABH accreditations for 4 units of Sankara, NABH Entry level certifications for 6 units of Sankara, and ISO certifications for 2 units. She has also guided some hospitals outside Sankara group towards implementing quality assurance norms and achieving NABH entry level certification.
She developed and implemented various forms and formats, standardized and implemented various specialty consent forms, developed various quality and patient safety protocols and ensured their implementation. On an ongoing basis, she has conducted concurrent and retrospective reviews through audits of key indicators to monitor and evaluate clinical care, safety and service.
Geeta has trained more than 2500 staff including doctors in various topics. She has trained various students of Optometry in quality related topics like – Hospital procedures, departments in a hospital, Communication, Public relations, Safety in hospitals, patient satisfaction, employee and patient rights and responsibilities, etc. She has been coordinating conducting Governing Body meetings, participating in TOPA (The One Point Agenda) meetings and a part of Design Thinking projects, and QIPs to facilitate the development and the implementation of various strategic initiatives. She has enthusiastically conducted 7 Quality workshops till date for all unit Quality champions as part of SanQALP (Sankara Quality Initiative Learning Programme) initiatives.
Geeta has actively initiated new policies pertaining to COVID-19 across units of SEFI within limited timeline. She got recognized as one of the ‘COVID Heros’ of SEFI. She has been instrumental in representing the organization by submitting applications, delivering presentations and winning various prestigious Healthcare awards and competitions like the ‘CAHO QIMPRO AWARD 2019′ (2nd Prize in Process excellence category), won QIMPRO QUALTECH Prize 2019 – Healthcare edition’ (Nov’19) also won The Best Presentation award. Won ET News Award for ‘Excellence in Healthcare Quality’ (Dec’19), won TN FICCI Excellence in Quality Award 2020 – Best Eye Care Hospital in NABH Entry level hospital category, won IMC Ramkrishna Bajaj National Quality Award 2019 – Milestone merits recognition – Safety focus.
Winner in various competitions of Quality Council of India like – Quiz, Slogan, Photography and Quality month Celebration in organization’ competitions. She won First runner up award in IMC Ramkrishna Bajaj National Awards competition (Best practices award June 2020). She has been the faculty for conducting one day Quality workshop in KIMS Trivandrum on behalf of CAHO.”
