IAPB leads and coordinates global eye health advocacy to maintain political action and investment in eye health. We provide the sector voice for eye health at the World Health Organisation (WHO) and the United Nations (UN), and oversee major global campaigns and policy initiatives such as World Sight Day, the UN Friends of Vision and Vision for the Commonwealth.
We have successfully championed global and regional commitments for eye health including Heads of State commitments at the United Nations and Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting and World Health Assembly resolutions.
Our advocacy is underpinned by the latest data and information on vision, and builds on the work of our members. Our network covers over 100 countries, enabling us to unlock the power of global commitments and deliver action at a national level.
