"Diabetic Retinopathy Care to All by 2030" on Thursday 18 November, 2021
The number of people living with diabetes is expected to rise to 578 million by 2030. Approximately 1 in 3 people with diabetes have some degree of Diabetic Retinopathy and 1 in 10 are at risk of developing sight threatening complications due to the disease.
The Focus on Diabetes programme aims to raise the profile and agenda of Diabetic Eye Disease sharing knowledge pertinent to it. Our theme for the Focus on Diabetes programme is, “Access to Care”. We will be offering a global webinar in addition to three regional webinars, and an expert opinion. The programme will commence on 12 November and run until 19 November 2021, encompassing World Diabetes Day (14 November 2021).
