Join a powerful, unprecedented alliance for better eye health for all.
Join IAPBRegional Programme Manager – Western Pacific Region
The IAPB leads international efforts to prevent blindness. Our vision is a world in which everyone has access to the best possible standard of eye health; where no one is needlessly visually impaired; and where those with irreparable vision loss achieve their full potential.
Your role as an influential leader will be to engage with a broad mix of stakeholders to develop and coordinate the implementation of our advocacy strategy and associated eye health initiatives across the Western Pacific region. This will involve working on complex eye health strategies with a range of high profile stakeholders including the WHO, IAPB member organizations and government bodies. You will also have the opportunity to identify and develop relevant fundraising activities to support the ongoing work we do.
Significant experience in the international development or public heath arena, with explicit experience of eye heath systems ideally within the region, is vital to this role. Excellent relationship management skills are also important as building effective collaborations with individuals at all levels and from varied cultures is key to the position. The successful candidate will be able to work independently, enjoy regular travel throughout the region and beyond, and have the personal skills to generate a passion and excitement about the work we do.
