Join IAPBLCIF is excited to announce that the 2022-2023 SightFirst Research call for proposals is now open. For those who are interested in submitting a letter of intent, please find attached the document outlining 2022-2023 cycle’s request for proposals in English, French, Spanish, and Portuguese.
Please note that language has been added to the Research Funding Priorities. Before submitting your letters of intent, please make sure to thoroughly review the Research Funding Priorities and ensure that your project fits the eligibility requirements.
The LCIF SightFirst program strengthens eye care systems in underserved communities enabling them to fight blindness and vision loss and assist those who are blind or visually impaired. The program funds high-quality, sustainable projects that deliver eye care services, develop infrastructure, train personnel, increase public awareness of eye health, and/or provide rehabilitation and education for persons who are blind or have low vision.
SightFirst research grants of up to US$100,000 will be awarded to support an experienced individual, institution, organization or consortium engaged in a public health research project to be completed in less than 36 months.

LOIs in pdf file format should be e-mailed to LCIF Global Health Initiatives at: [email protected]. Applicants may submit more than one LOI provided that each project is scientifically distinct. The deadline for LOI submission is November 15, 2022.
If selected, applicants will be invited in mid-January 2023 to submit their full proposal by March 21, 2023.
